Fire Department Information
The Volunteer Fire Departments are responsible for fire protection throughout the unincorporated areas of Lincoln County, North Carolina. Lincolnton Fire Department is responsible for fire protection for the City of Lincolnton.   Currently volunteers staff 9 of the 12 fire departments. Station 1 (Denver VFD), Station 4 (Boger City VFD) and Station 9 (Lincolnton Fire Dept.) provides this service through the use of a combination of full-time career and volunteer personnel. Each department provides fire suppression, fire investigation, public fire & life safety education, and assistance to EMS and Rescue Service. They also respond to vehicle accidents, code blue and unresponsive patients, natural and man-made disasters and other emergencies as needed.
